Villa Alpha (Afework Tekle) Residence Restoration and Renovation Design
Villa Alpha, the studio and residence of the most renowned Ethiopian artist, Afewerk Tekle, built in the 1960s, is residential establishment with a sizable portion of the artist's priceless works created over the course of his lifetime. The residence show cases Afewerk Tekle’s artistic and architectural legacy, providing insight into the artist's personal life, creative process, and the environment in which he lived and worked in.
The Outcome
Dallol conducted a detailed assessment of the current condition of these areas were conducted, considering factors such as structural stability, deterioration, and potential risks. The work plan will also encompass the identification of resto- ration and conservation measures necessary to preserve the site, including repairs, stabilization of structures,
decay management, and preventive measures.
